The Great Repair

“The Great Repair” was an exhibition project launched in 2023 by ARCH+ in collaboration with the Akademie der Künste, Berlin, ETH Zürich, and the University of Luxembourg. The project explored repair as a design paradigm for architecture and urbanism, addressing resource consumption and the ecological crisis. It featured over 40 positions from art, architecture, and spatial practices and was accompanied by a two-volume publication and an event program. The premiere of the Great Repair was in in Berlin was from October 14, 2023, to January 14, 2024. Critical Broadcasting Lab presented the Balls for All game developed by students in the first Collective Architecture Studio, as an artefact whose creation and use were both in part directed at the “repair” of the pedagogical project of the design studio.
